GDPR Essentials (E-Learning Course)

We recognise that not all staff need a detailed full day training course on GDPR.

In just over 30 minutes, the Act Now GDPR E-Learning Platform will allow delegates to grasp the basic dos and don'ts of GDPR. It consists of two narrated modules covering:

  • The main provisions of GDPR including new Data Subject rights; and
  • How to keep personal data safe and secure

Upon completion delegates will:

  • Understand the importance of complying with GDPR and the consequences of not doing so
  • Have a good knowledge of the key provisions of GDPR
  • Understand what they need to do to comply with GDPR
  • Appreciate the importance of good data security
  • Know what they need to do to keep data safe
  • Be aware of the importance of appropriate data privacy and security policies
  • Be able to direct customers and colleagues to appropriate policies
  • Know when to ask managers and the data protection officer for advice

In producing these modules we have had regard to the Information Commissioner's Data Protection training checklist.

The table below explains the contents of each module in more detail. These can be viewed in one sitting or in bitesize chunks.
