Online - Environmental Information Regulations
The course will be of interest to freedom of information practitioners who have little or no experience of dealing with requests for information under the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) 2004. The course is delivered by Susan Wolf, who has over 13 years’ experience of delivering online training in relation to the Environmental Information Regulations.

The course will provide delegates with an understanding of how to recognise requests for environmental information by using some case studies and exercises. It will examine the obligations that public authorities have in relation to proactively disseminating environmental information and handling requests for information. The course will explore the EIR exceptions to disclosure so that delegates have a sound understanding of how the exceptions operate in practice.
