Freedom of Information (Scotland): The Exemptions
The exemptions of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the exceptions of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations) 2004 allow public authorities to protect information that if disclosed might cause unjustified harm to a range of public interests. However, applying them inappropriately can lead to adverse decisions from the regulator and reputational damage.

This workshop examines all FOISA exemptions in detail, highlighting key commissioner and tribunal decisions.
