Training and Consultancy in Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Surveillance Law
FOI Practitioner Certificate
Course Structure

The course has been designed by leading FOI experts including Ibrahim Hasan and Susan Wolf, formerly a senior lecturer on the University of Northumbria's LLM in Information Rights Law.

Our aim is to teach delegates essential FOI knowledge and practical skills. Other courses are often geared towards simply passing an exam.

This course takes place over four days (one day per week) and involves lectures, discussion and practical drafting exercises. Time will also be spent at the end of each day discussing what issues delegates will face when implementing/advising on the topics of the day.

The four teaching days are followed by an online assessment and a practical project to be completed within one month. The project will be independently marked by an FOI expert and feedback given.
