Course Description

In May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Act 1998.

All schools will be affected by this law. It will change the way you manage and disclose personal data in your school including student's data, personnel records, CCTV images and handwritten notes.

The penalty for non compliance will be as much as 20 million euros or four percent of annual global turnover, whichever is higher.

In this webinar we will look at the key requirements of the legislation using examples directly relevant to schools.

Topics include: The GDPR Principles including Accountability, Definition of personal data, Images of Children, Rights of individuals, Subject Access Requests, New Rights, Privacy Notices etc.
