Course Description

Next year (25th May 2018) the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Act 1998.

Your  school will be affected by this law. It will change the way you manage and disclose personal data in your school including student's data, personnel records, CCTV images and handwritten notes.

GDPR introduces new provisions such as reporting data breaches and enhanced data subject rights.

The penalty for non compliance will be as much as 20 million euros (or four percent of annual global turnover, in the case of undertakings).

In this webinar we will look at the key requirements of the legislation using examples directly relevant to schools.

Topics include: The GDPR Principles including Accountability, New definition of personal data, Rights of individuals, Subject Access Requests, New Rights, Privacy Notices, Images and video recordings  etc.

This webinar is accredited for 1 hour CPD and includes an online test at the end.

The presenter is Ibrahim Hasan

Please note that the fee is £49 plus vat at 20%

"A great course that all schools should undertake to get a feel for the task ahead in complying with the GDPR." NM, Doncaster

"The GDPR for Schools webinar was a really useful introduction to the new requirements that we will need to have in place. The Trainer explained the Regulation with a clear and practical approach and explained the differences between the DPA and GDPR well.   I came away with a better understanding of what our organization needs to now do! I'm looking forward to attending the full day course."  DB, Cornwall
