Personal information is a big target for Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests. This workshop is designed to teach delegates how to deal with requests for the subject’s own information as well as that of third parties. FOI, FOISA and the DPA have to be considered as well as the individuals’ right to privacy. The latest caselaw and Information Commissioner and Tribunal/Court of Session decisions will be examined in detail. There will also be time to consider sector specific case studies and to practice the drafting of responses.
